8AM To Washington is an essay film that reflects upon the filmmaker's first two years living in the US, tackling questions of embodied identities, the imperfection of translation, and representation. Staged performances, superimposed texts in Mandarin and English, as well as overlays are utilized to depict the filmmaker and her friend's inner conflicts.
